Supported Employment Pilot

The Vermont Developmental Disabilities Services 2014 “Imagine the Future” Task Force considered the work of the Employer Contracted Work Supports Group which was tasked with exploring new and innovative strategies and improving quality of work supports and service options for service recipients.

Supported Employment Providers

Individuals who do not receive developmental services may request Supported Employment services by contacting the Intake Coordinator at the Designated Agency in their county.  Individuals who currently receive services should ask their service coordinator to help with a referral to the Supported Employment project located within their Designated Agency.

Supported Employment Program

The Vermont Supported Employment Program provides a full range of services which enable people with disabilities to access and succeed in competitive employment. The program goal is to provide full access to employment through the provision of individual support services for people who have historically been excluded from employment. Services have developed from a philosophy that presumes employability for all given the right supports are provided to the individual.
