Adult Services Division (ASD) - A Division of the Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living (DAIL) that is responsible for the management and oversight of a full array of long-term services and supports for older Vermonters and adults with physical disabilities. The ASD works in partnership with community organizations in each region of the state who provide direct services to people within their area.
Agency of Human Services (AHS) - The Agency of Human Services (AHS) mission is to improve the conditions and well-being of Vermonters and protect those who cannot protect themselves. There are six departments within AHS that provides the services to meet this mission: The Department for Children and Families (DCF); Department of Corrections; Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living (DAIL); Department of Health (VDH); Department of Mental Health (DMH); and the Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA), along with the Office of the Secretary.
Agency of Transportation (VTrans) - VTrans plans, develops, implements and manages a statewide transportation network. The Public Transit Section of VTrans provides financial and technical assistance to transit districts, transit authorities, municipal transit systems, and non-profit public transit systems. This function is carried out through the administration of state and federal programs relating to general public transportation and transit programs specific to the needs of senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Department for Children and Families (DCF) - The Economic Services Division (ESD) of DCF administers several public benefits that help Vermonters meet their basic needs. These benefits include 3SquaresVT, Essential Person Program, Fuel Assistance, and Reach Up.
Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living (DAIL) - The Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living (DAIL) is a department under the Agency of Human Services and provides a variety of services to Vermonters who are older or have a disability.
Department of Mental Health (DMH) - A Department of Mental Health resides under the Agency of Human Services, DMH works with community partners to provide mental health care.
Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) - A Department under the Agency of Human Services, DVHA is responsible for the management of Vermont's publicly funded health insurance programs.
Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired (DBVI) - A Division of the Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living (DAIL) that provides vocational rehabilitation and independent living services to eligible Vermonters who are blind and visually impaired.
Division of Licensing and Protection (DLP) - A Division of the Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living, DLP helps to ensure vulnerable adults are treated with dignity and respect, and that they receive care appropriate for them. The Adult Protective Services (APS) investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults. The Survey and Certification program (S&C) licenses and certifies a range of health care facilities and providers, and they survey these facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing the quality of care and quality of life of residents and patients.
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VocRehab Vermont) - A Division of the Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living, VocRehab Vermont offers free, flexible services to any Vermonter or employer dealing with a disability that affect employment. They partner with human service providers and employers across Vermont to help people with disabilities realize their full potential.
Vermont Assistive Technology Program (VATP) - VATP works to increase awareness and knowledge, and to change policy and practice, to assure technology is available through all services to Vermonters with disabilities.
